Jones was 145-of-299 pass attempts for 1,974 yards and 21 touchdowns. He added 600 yards rushing and eight scores. He ran a 4.4-second hand-timed 40-yard dash at the Ohio State camp last summer. He is hearing from Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern and Ohio State. He took an unofficial to Illinois this past season for the Rutgers game.

My guess was DB or WR. That 4.4 speed is really nice...

I like the fact he camped at tOSU and will probably do so this year, his speed is a plus and his height, his stats show he can make plays with the ball in his hands. Might be a prospect to keep an eye on.

The Middies have a couple of guys to watch next year... OL Cory Pigg is another.

Skylar runs the 200m and 300 hurdles. He also runs in a variety of the relays.

He has good, but not blistering, times.

I would guess WR. A lot of these high school QB's go on to be great WR's at the next level, and he shows great speed to be a WR.

Sunshine Preps has posted film on Skylar. Looks like a good athlete and likely a WR at the next level in my opinion. Good speed and pretty decent vision. He is playing QB but he takes off with the ball often.

He reminds me a lot of Westerville South's Rocco Pentello, as far as QB style goes. Pass first, run second duel-threat QB. I'm pretty terrible at evaluating QB's as far as mechanics are concerned (and it would be pretty hard to tell based on how far away the camera is from the field in the video), but like Rocco, Skylar's position at the next level is probably not as a signal caller. He'd have great measurables for a DB, whereas he's a little light and short as a QB.

Also, it hasn't been said yet, but Skylar goes to Middletown, which is the hometown of current Buckeye CB Andre Amos (R-Fr).
