Darby HS
Hilliard (OH)

Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 280 pounds
40-yard dash: 5.05 seconds

Rivals profile

This might be something for LordJeff, Mili or Grad to check into, but I saw AJ wrestle last weekend and did some research. He's a 6-7, 295-pound defensive end at Hilliard Darby and ranked third in Central Ohio among heavyweight wrestlers. He dominated the tournament I was at and has lost only once so far this season. I don't know what kind of a football player he is, but he definitely has the size for the DL. Very muscular for a 295-pounder. Don't know particulars on his speed or strength, but he seemed to have a pretty good burst while wrestling, and his strength was very impressive. He picked up and slammed other heavyweights at the tourney last weekend. Sorry I don't have more.

Nothing yet on Rivals or Scout. Most of the local articles talk about his wrestling. Definitely a big, athletic kid (he looks every bit of 6' 7", 295 lbs) - maybe he'll develop as a senior.

'07 OH DT/OL Antonio Jeremiah

Bucknuts has a new free audio feature, The Bucknuts Recruiting Roundtable:

http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/498275.html

About 26:20 into this audio file this kid Antonio Jeremiah is mentioned, I think by Duane Long. Duane just discovered this player and thinks OSU should go after him as a Defensive Tackle or an Offensive Lineman.

Jeremiah Plays for Hilliard Darby High School, where he apparently played at defensive end this year.

I also found out through a search that he is a pretty good Heavyweight wrestler for Darby. A district qualifier, and an alternate for the state meet last year.

Watched the clip-

He looks like a future defensive tackle, or a run stuffing defensive end. Either way, gotta like him. He wasn't exceptionally quick, and didn't look like he had any real moves to get by the linemen. In a sense, he's very raw looking. Either way, he's a beast and in the category of athletic size guys who are rare and valuable.

Pretty impressive clip- actually reminded me of a MUCH bigger, slower version of Walter Dublin. That said, I was surprised at his mobility for a guy that big. There was one play where the quarterback had scrambled by him, and he caught up to him when the QB tried to juke someone in front of him, making the tackle. It looked like he tried to use his size to just bowl over ther person in front of him or throw them aside rather than use a lot of technique, which will hurt him at the next level where people will be as big (or bigger) than him.

In my opinion, he has DT written ALL over him! If he's already at 295, he'll be 315+ in college (especially at his height) and we seem to be pretty set as far as DE's go. He certainly has the size and a good set of fundementals, but I agree- he looked pretty raw-looking in the video. We will have to keep an eye on this fella! If he progresses his senior year, he could be a great pick-up. And being the 3rd ranked heavyweight wrestler in Ohio surely helps his stock as well ::winky face::

He would be a nice plaer to have during goal line situation. Thats a pretty nice video. It looks like he relies on strenght alot because he is not real quick but that can always be improved. But he looks like he is real strong. Could he possibly play Offensive Line?

After watching the film, the thing that he needs to obviously improve the most is his quickness, mostly getting off the ball quickly. He has great strength, tossing the blockers away like they were a doll, but he needs to get off the line quicker. If he runs a good 40 time then his stock would really improve.
