Jeff Lucas, whose play at middle linebacker helped St. Edward to a Division I state semifinal appearance in 2005 and a spot in the regional semifinals this past season, has given an oral commitment to attend New Mexico State.

What could be more gratifying for a couple of Cleveland-area kids than playing in a national high school football all-star game?

How about practicing and rooming with some Alabama players appearing in a popular MTV reality television show?

St. Edward teammates Jeff Lucas and Cory Skoczen, who will don their pads in the Max Emfinger High School All-American Bowl Game Classic today in Shreveport, La., have been sharing their hotel room with Michael DeJohn and Korey Reynolds. DeJohn and Reynolds played for Hoover (Ala.) High School, which was spotlighted in MTV's "Two-A-Days." The eight-episode series, which aired this fall, chronicled Hoover's 2005 season.
