If Marlin keeps it up he is going to break the Harding lifting is going to break the Harding lifting record. Doing 26 reps put him over 400 pounds. That is crazy 26 reps of 225 as a junior. That is how much Levi george did last summer.
Marlin is definitely on a good pace, but George is going to set the bar very high. He did 33 reps of 225 back in December. I'm not sure when he's going to max out again (I don't know if he maxed out yesterday or not), but WGH's lifting record definitely isn't safe anymore. Dante Campbell broke Clarett's record (23 reps of 225) towards the end of the 04-05 school year only to have George break it in the summer. Even after Marlin is finished, you have Russell Pupunu, a sophomore who already did 20 reps of 225. It's only something small when you compare it to the overall picture, but I like the "competition" developing at WGH because it motivates the players to work harder. Hopefully, the strength shows on the field this season. The 06 squad will be the strongest in school history by far.
Sounds like a solid weight program at WGH. Is the Pupunu kid related to the former Charger TE (Alfred Pupunu)? Back to Parker, he's got some nice measureables for a LB.
