'07 OH DE Julian Miller (West Virginia signee)

Well I talked to Julian today. He was talking about his offers and I was listening, then out of no where he was like "And I'm on BuckeyePlanet now too". I was like yea man, I know, I made your page on there. At first he didn't believe me, until I told him my username. He said good looking and that he would give me updates on the recruiting so I can post it here.

I asked him how much he weighed, and he said 222 is not correct. He said he is 206 and that basketball season really did him in. He said he weighed more during football season. Like 215.
if hes missed all your riveting he must not spend much time on here...

Film.

My take: Julian has been listed at everything from DE, to WOLB, to TE. He needs to work on his technique...he plays straight up and down at DE...however, the combination of size and speed is tough to overlook. He is not in that Cumberland/Hubbard/Irizary mold quite yet, but he could end up as a solid DE/TE prospect at a DI school. I would say lower to middle Big 10 or possible a mid-level ACC or Big East team or his choice of MAC schools.

Never heard him projected as a LB. He would be a tall LB

I do know, after watching the highlight film from 2004 that he played some DT during his sophomore year and was holding his own at it. And that wasn't against bad teams. The clip I saw him at DT was against Brookhaven.

I don't really see him at anything other than DE in the future.

EDIT: Also, wadc45, do you know what team that film was against? Or was it multiple teams?

There are three clips of him at TE, about 5-6 of him at a stand-up DE position like Bobby played or like Scooter is projected at. The film was against several different teams and the level of competition on the short clips leadsd me to believe it might be highlights from league games last year. He obviously looks most like a DE at this point, although the AMP bio lists him as an OLB/DE...which I think is there way of saying he could be a candidate for that kind of hybrid position that is becoming more and more popular thanks to guys like Mike Vrabel.

If he can pack on some weight... maybe he comes in to play the LEO? Seems to have some nice speed, but at 203 right now, he doesn't seem to be the type that could put on 60 in the time he will be here.
