Syracuse (NY)
Christian Brothers

Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 190 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.58 seconds
According to Jovan's coach, he is an exceptional athlete who scored 34 TDs as a junior. However, his intensity will likely land him on defense in college. He is receiving early interest from Ohio State, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Duke and Michigan State.

Good size at 16 maybe 17 for a safety. He'll likely grow another inch or two and there you have it...a legitimate 6'2, 6'3 safety. 190 is pretty solid for this age and height as well.

It will be interesting to see if his relationship with Matthews effects his recruitment at all. Hopefully not. :)

FWIW - His coach seems to think he will grow to about 6'2" 215 by the time Jovan graduates high school.

fwiw, i've seen this kid play and he is a solid athlete. Lays the lumber on defense and is a fierce competitor. He is a star on the lacrosse team as well, and is garnering division 1 interest in that as well. I have heard that he has interest in playing both, but will probably stick with football when forced to choose. Also think he is Syracuse's to lose though, as two of his friends and former teammates signed there last year.
