Justin was offered by tOSU a few weeks ago but is leaning to ND. He plans to make his choice on June 1. He also has offers from Rutgers, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and West Virginia. As a junior, the all-state selection recorded 86 tackles and 9.5 sacks.

My Take: It didn't take but a few clips to see this is a special football player. He explodes off the ball and has an active motor while using his hands very well. He changes direction and accelerates to the ball extremely well. I was very impressed. Hopefully JT can work some magic as ND appears to be in the driver's seat.

He is from the same school as Simms if I'm not mistaken, who I wouldn't mind see us getting in on. Also, Don Bosco plays Centerville in the Herbstreit Classic, so I'll get to see him in person. Are you thinking DT grad?

I have been following him somewhat because Notre Dame has been in on him and I thought that it could possibly improve our chances with Martin if they got him and someone else before Martin was to decide.

Here is an article written from IrishEyes$ that gives a great breakdown of his film and they project him to strongside DE.

Expect Trattou to commit to Notre Dame on June 1st (I think that's when he scheduled his announcement).

I havn't seen any of his videos, but his offer list is pretty impressive. He'll probably end up being a high 4-star guy. Anyway, he had a great time at ND's spring game, has spoken very highly of the school since he was first recruited, and Charlie Weis has made it a very high priority to turn New Jersey into a Notre Dame recruiting pipeline---the best TE in NJ has already committed to us and we're expecting Trattou to commit in June and a highly touted WR in Duval Kamara to commit this Wednesday.

On paper, Trattou would be our second DE in this class, but Kerry Neal could very well end up a LB.. so I doubt Ben Martin will be much affected and if he is as good as he is said to be, he won't fear competition in the first place.

Ben Martin said he's a 60/40 lean to ND, but I really think it'll be 50/50 at the end.

A.) this thread is about Justin Trattou, not Ben Martin...

B.) said that to who? to you? anyone who posts information of that nature here on BP does so because they have a connection to a kid that they can also share and thus verify the info to a certain degree. (i.e. talked to the player himself, talked to the coach, spoke with a family member, etc.). in the future, please provide some sort of a source before making such comments.

Supposedly will decide between one of the teams on his list that is in South Bend. Since we really haven't been in on Trattou very long anyways, logic would say he goes elsewhere.
