Height: 6-foot-6
Weight: 285 pounds
40-yard dash: 5.1 seconds
Vertical leap: 28 inches
GPA: 3.9
SAT: 910

There is discussion of Trinton being a top 5 OL talent for the class of 2007. He was considered a Clemson lean at one point, but with his recruitment opening up now, he is open to other schools. He holds 30 offers and picked up an offer from tOSU last week. Trinton plans to decide in June.

My Take: Trinton's athleticism is amazing. He uses his hands well and has very active feet. Overextends at times but that will be corrected quickly at the next level. Great offer, but very difficult to pull above the Mason-Dixon line.

By Phil Kornblut
Clemson is emerging has one of the frontrunners for OL Trinton Sturdivant (6-5 287) of Wadesboro, NC. "They've got a real good shot," said Anson County coach Jody Grooms. "He's got relatives in the area. Clemson has done a great job recruiting him." Sturdivant has numerous offers including Clemson, USC, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Miami, Auburn and Michigan. Along with Clemson, coach Grooms said the other top schools with Sturdivant appear to be Florida, Georgia and Auburn. Sturdivant will visit Clemson April 1st for a spring practice scrimmage. Grad- would you consider him a project or a more polished-type of O-lineman?

Polished but not college-level polished. Usually, OL have to figure out what they are getting away with at the HS level does not work at the college level. There isn't much Trinton needs to work on though...leverage/base issues, but that is really being picky on my part.

Trinton's coach says that offers are starting to pour in from around the country from schools like tOSU and USC. Right now, Trinton says Georgia, Florida, and Clemson are his favorites due to familiarity, but he is open to seeing other schools.

From the ND site...not really relevant to OSU, but Trinton committed to UGA long ago but was at ND for their loss last weekend.

Sound like he may have opened his recruitment back up...
