David holds an offer from Minnesota right now. He recently ran a 4.39 40 yard dash at the Iowa Combine on what was called a slow track. He plans on coming to the Nike Combine in Columbus to showcase his skill and he says he also wants to see the campus. Minnesota, Iowa, and Ohio State are his favorites right now.

From the Minnesota site...David camped at Iowa and plans to camp at Wisconsin. He has now decided to wait to issue a verbal. He still has offers from Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Iowa State with Indiana and Kansas State still in touch.

Gilreath was named the Badgers #1 PR and KR returner. He debuted as the #1 KR against Washington State, and replaced Luke Swan at PR about midway through the game after he fumbled a punt earlier. Gilreath also fumbled a punt, but he had a PR of about 20 yards, and two KR's which went over 30. Quite an upgrade for the worst rated return unit in '06. He also ran a reverse for a first down.

David has been dubbed the fastest player ever at UW. I don't believe that's accurate considering that Michael Bennett was one of the fastest players ever in college football. He was a world class sprinter and named the NFL's fastest man recently. BJ Tucker ran a 4.29 40. 3 Badgers were the fastest players in the their respective drafts in the last 15 years (Bennett, Tucker, and Tony Simmons).

He was also called the best receiving prospect he's ever scouted by Badger WR coach Henry Mason. That's pretty ironic coming from the man who coached Lee Evans and Chris Chambers, amongst many other players who were drafted into the NFL. That's more hyperbole most likely, but Wisconsin is obviously enthralled by the skills of this young man.
