'07 MI CB Ronald Johnson (Southern Cal signee)

Rojo

Hey all, found your forum here and I dont know if you have seen highlights of Rojo's performances, but here is the local ABC news site that has highschool football on video, not all the area games each week but its something.

You'll have to wait for the ad before the game highlights.

Muskegon vs Mona Shores -Wk-8 Kinda bad video replay but RJ has a fancy touchdown run in there where he avoids tacklers like hes intagible or something.

Muskegon vs Holland christian (with state ranked QB) Wk-9 >end of video shows RJ running. What is interesting to me is that if you watch his body moves, he looks like the kind of athelete you see starting for a big 10 school. He's not even trying hard and is outrunning people.

Muskegon vs Hudsonville (1st round playoffs)

Muskegon vs Bay City (3rd round playoffs)

Theres more games all the way to week 1 on here so you can see some more there.
I watched him play and so did some of my friends and he's legit. He makes people say oooooh, and aaaaah in the stands like a reflex. What people havent mentioned is that he can deliver a hit as well. Hes a great tackler and on that 1st touchdown saving tackle he made in the State Championship, he hurt his ribs, and had come from all the way on the other side of the field to catch that kid.
Another note i'd like to leave is that Doriel Miller is fast. Hes good at everything RoJo is. If RJ is a 82 on Espn. I'd give Doriel a 70. Hes a fast kid that moved up here from texas and got overshadowed by Ashton Leggett and Rojo. -- jeez you can only spread the ball around to so many kids per game.
A Last note, is someone should be recruiting Ashton. Hes a fullback and has speed and power and cutback ability. 6' 227lbs and set Muskegon's all time touchdown record and thats with them taking starters out in 4th quarter most of the season.

Hope all that is interesting to you guys.

After watching his videos... I would like nothing more than to see him AWAY from scUM, anywhere... but most of all, I'd like him to be in Columbus.

I couldn't agree more. I've read somewhere on this site tsun hasn't recruited talented secendary personel lately, let em continue so we can run 40 on 'em each of the next 2-4 years!

By BK...more on Ronald's decision to go ahead with his visit to OSU.

I still don't see any reason to think he will be a part of this class. Maybe a great visit will change things, but from everything I have read I still don't see him anywhere but Michigan.

Others have commented that could be a sweet weekend as long as tOSU is the Victor on 1/8.

Trophy presentation during a great UT hoops game...the revelation that Gonzo and Ginn are gone

visitors could be Rojo/Heyward/Green and Clifford--I like the fact they mix these kids in with a solid commit...

That's exactly why I won't get my hopes up...there is no reason to believe we will land him at this point and I will just be very pleasantly surprised if his visit changes that. Key word is "surprised" though because as much as I would like to imagine him in scarlet and grey, it likely won't happen. He has been to camp, hung out with JT all day at one of the advanced camps, and Columbus is no unfamiliar place to him...I don't see anything we show him will drastically change his mind towards OSU.

Pros/cons

I think he's michigans to loose also. For one, One of his best friends already plays for michigan. Two, He is atop their recruiting board and probably is getting their full court press. Three, its his home state school and friends and family can see him with ease and he them.

With that said the only chance we have is to appeal to his heart and not his head. It seems to me we have a coaching advantage (personality wise and teaching), We put more kids in a position to get to the pros especially at DB, no pressure at being the hometown savior (TSUN is heading downhill after Henne, Hart and Manningham leave next year), and were not too far that the family can't come see him play.
This last one might be because I'm bias but we seem to have a much better athlete personality wise. Michigan players appear super cocky. Hopefully, a few may have rubbed Mr. Johnson wrong.
