Devonte doesn't have any offers yet but feels that tOSU, Syracuse, and Virginia are close to offering. says his favorties are tOSU, the Florida schools, Syracuse, and Boston College. education will be an important factor for him, as he wants to major in engineering or psychology. says that he will try to get to a tOSU game this season.

From the MDVarsity site...a preview of the 2006 Forestville program. Last year Campbell caught 20 passes for 712 yards (nice average, huh?) and 11 TDs. Defensively, he registered 62 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 TFLs and 2 forced fumbles.

Continuing with the theme of the Washington area's top rising senior football players . . .

Dunbar All-Met wide receiver Arrelious Benn has more than 50 scholarship offers, Crimson Tide Coach Craig Jefferies reports. Benn's most recent offers are from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana State, Oregon and Washington and he plans to attend the spring game at Notre Dame on Saturday. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Benn will be the region's most heavily recruited player over the next several months.

Another high-profile player is Forestville linebacker Devonte Campbell, who has received scholarship offers from Maryland, Virginia, Penn State, Illinois Kansas State, Pittsburgh and Syracuse and Knights Coach Charles Harley said he anticipates an offer from Ohio State.

From the ND site...Campbell has offers from Maryland, Penn State, Illinois, Virginia, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas State and Syracuse and is also hearing from Ohio State, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame. Rest of the article is one big ND slant...
