Committed to LSU at the AA game, but his mother made him visit Alabama last weekend while they were in Tuscaloosa for a funeral...and the LSU coaches were not happy. She wants him at Alabama and Luther says he still has LSU in his heart.

Recap of Luther Davis' visit to LSU. Im putting this here because it mentions how the LSU coaches wanted Davis to work on recruiting Barksdale to LSU (whom was visiting with him.)

Don't you just love the 2007 recruiting season? Like union said in another thread, it's been a weird year. Amazing how these things all play out. By the way, it should be interesting to watch the Saban-Miles battles, recruiting and on the field, over the next years.

Interesting read...article talks about the lessons Luther learned during this process.

This is an example of a kid who was genuinely confused (although I do think he fell in love with being recruited a little bit) and got unfairly ripped apart by Internet junkies. Just goes to show that not all kids are "playing the game".
