Stuart has been offered by Kentucky and has camped at Ohio State this summer. He is listing Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky (offer), Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennesee.

I just realized that Hines attends the same high school that Robert Reynolds did. That may be an 'in' with him for OSU.

6-5, 275 pound two-way lineman Stuart Hines leads the list of returnees, and might even end up being the top recruit in Kentucky of the Class of 2007 by the time the dust settles next Signing Day. Named first team all-state by both the AP and the Louisville Courier-Journal, Hines has it all as an offensive tackle and will be an impact player on the next level. Kentucky has already offered.

I like the fact he camped here last year. I would think that if we make a good push at him, we would have as good a shot as anyone.

Hines talks about his offer from Kentucky. His coach describes him as having good feet and aggressive, also mentions that his recruitment his going similar to Robert Reynold's did.

Film on Hines from Sunshine Preps. There is alot to like about Hines and should be the top KY prospect. I would love to see him get an offer as an athlete. On offense he has a great first punch, nasty blocker, and good pass blocking. On defense he has a great first step, can flat out hit, and gets off blocks well. Just a great athlete for his size and I think he could play anywhere on the defensive or offensive line honestly.

His quickness off the ball on offensive or defense is very very good for being 280 lbs.

He would be a great prospect to bring in as a DT. Him and Barksdale would make me one happy guy.

My Take: The first thing I noticed was his mobility for a big man...impressive. However, he is raw. On defense, he does not use his hands well and gives up too much frame which will be exploite by a solid college OL. On offense, same thing. He seemed to lose his base in a few clips and overextended. However, he overpowers his targets. The tools are there but needs polishing.
