We have!?!? The last Illinois product we signed was McNutt, and that was under Coop. OSU has always had trouble cracking the Illinois market.
This guy sounds like a stud, tho....keeping the initial burst/quickness is what is the key-if your DE is running 40 yds in a game situation on a consistent basis you have major problems.........

From the Illinois site...Marquis has heard from Florida, Georiga, Iowa, Indiana, and Arkansas Pine-Bluff. He is most interested in Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Michigan State but plans to attend the Nike camp in Columbus this summer.

Film.

My take: Video is not great quality to start with. Marquis lacks some technique, especially when engaging to make a tackle. Luckily at the HS level, he can use his wingspan to still drag someone down when he runs past the ball carrier. That won't work at the next level. Decent speep, but not quite the same athleticism as a Martin or a Thomas. I think he will be a solid MAC-type recruit.
