'07 GA ATH Vance Cuff (Georgia signee)

would the db in question that may be curtailing osu's interest in cuff happpen to be james s? wait, that's too obvious, let's call him j scott.

if so, is osu willing to wait it out and risk possibly missing on both?

While they are still longshots, Allen and Warren could still be in play...

I think the staff has Scott higher on their board than Cuff.

Cuff is supposedly similar in playing style to Donnie Evege, while Scott is different. Cuff and Evege are the kind of talents that will run in the low 4.3's handtimed, while Scott is a very physical corner.

Thats just my opinion.

Agree with all of this. Scott is assuredly higher on the board than Cuff but the question is how many speed category guys we plan to get in this class. Not to mention Cuff is more of a cover corner like Evege and Scott is far more physical. I wouldn't mind having Evege, Scott, and Cuff but I'm pretty sure Torrence is primarily being recruited as a CB. In the speed category because I'm confident we end up with at least Oliver, Evege, Sazenbacher, Saine, Herron, Clifford, Torrence, and Scott. Now that's 8 guys we really want that should end up here and there may be an OOS surprise, though it's not likely. Again, I believe it all depends on how many we want to take.
