In late June, Matt declared South Carolina as his leader, but does say the recent offer from tOSU is one he is definitely interested in exploring due to exposure, tradition, and the Big Ten Conference.

Florida WR Likes USC & Clemson

By Phil Kornblut
WR Matt Clements (6-1 205) of Naples, FL considers USC and Clemson to be among his favorites right now along with Auburn. "I like South Carolina's offense," he said. "Being a receiver, it works for me. As for Clemson, theyu score often and they run a good offense, too." Clements also has offers from Indiana, West Virginia, Iowa State, Ball State and UNLV. He's not made any official visits and will go to team camp at South Florida this summer.

Sunshine Preps Video

My Take: Matt has a first step that will hurt your feelings. Film showed a willingness to catch the ball in traffic and also good stalk-blocking skills...blue collar stuff which I like. He does get sloppy on some of his routes but that is not a big deal for a HS WR. I like this offer.

USC Working Clements Hard

By Phil Kornblut
WR Matt Clements (6-1 185) of Naples, FL has a top four right now of USC, Clemson, Auburn and Florida with no clear leader. He has not taken any unofficial visits this summer and has none planned. Florida wants him to come to a camp July 21st but he's not sure he's going. The Gators have not yet offered. Clements said he has offers from USC, Clemson, Auburn, Indiana, West Virginia, Iowa State, Ball State, UNLV, Nebraska, Ohio State and Minnesota, and USC is showing the strongest interest of all of them. "I hear at least once a day from coach Spurrier Jr. or coach Gillespie," he said. Clements said a decision won't come before early in his season. Last season he caught 50 passes for 728 yards and 8 touchdowns.
