Another Lakeland Dreadnaught prospect, Jordan holds offers from Pitt, Duke, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and West Virginia. In his latest Rivals article, Jordans says tOSU is about to send him an offer also. He notes his overall athleticism as his primary strength and feels he can play either side of the ball in college.

I have to be honest I wasn't all that impressed. Decent blocker, soft at times, and it seemed that others were making the tackle and he was jumping on the pile. He did have some nice hands though.

I personally feel that you can bulk this kid up and teach him how to block, or teach him how to play down the line against the run, or teach him the most important aspects of being an effective pass rusher. the one thing you cannot teach is athleticism, and this kid has plenty of it. Great explosion, change of direction, and plays to the whistle. All admirable qualities, imo.

Edit: BTW, don't you love the fact that we all get to see this type of stuff for ourselves so early on in the process and give out our own opinions on each of these players.

Confirmation of Hammond's offer. Received it in a text and then it was mailed to him. Coach Beckman is handling his recruitment and OSU isn't sure whether they want him at TE or DE. His neighbor is a big OSU fan and has been trying to talk him into OSU. OSU is in his top five and he only mentioned 3 others with LSU, UF, and Georgia.

Florida TE Holds Clemson Offer

By Phil Kornblut
Clemson is among the several offers for TE Jordon Hammond (6-5 225) of Lakeland, FL. Hammond, who also plays defensive end, said he also has offers from Alabama, Florida International, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Duke, Pittsburgh and Ohio State. He is also hearing from Miami, Iowa, Stanford and Central Florida. Hammond has been to Florida and is going to Central Florida Friday. He said he might visit Clemson in June. Hammond said Clemson recruiter Chris Rumph sends him a text message practically every other day. Hammond does not have a favorite though he did grow up a Miami fan. Hammond was using primarily as a blocker at tight end. On defense he had 54 tackles with 28 tackles for loss and 4 sacks.
