Antoine had 15 tackles and 5 sacks in his spring scrimmage game. He picked up an offer from Ole Miss and still has tOSU amongst his favorites.

Original post updated for official Nike Combine numbers.

Similar size to Martez Wilson but not as impressive an offer list...might have something to do with the fact that he transferred from Dillard and has been going to school full-time so he can graduate early. Love the GPA and the fact that he comes from a military background. The Gators seem to be really interested in this kid...

Film on Carter from SunshinePreps. Obvious to see why we offered. He is pretty raw but he does use his long arms great to shed blockers and get to the ball. The clip where he just throws the RB in the air is amazing. Downside is he sometimes is over-aggressive but that can be worked out. Florida's talent is unreal this year and Carter has some amazing potential for only being 16.

I haven't watached his film yet, but his numbers don't jump out at me. I am not sure he would fit in for our DE needs and unless he can put on some serious mass I do not see him as a DT.

Film.

47 clips of Carter at DE. He likes to line up extremely wide and solely uses his speed to get to the ballcarrier/QB. Right now he looks like more of a pass rushing specialist. He seems to play faster than his reported 4.98 but is going to need some additional size if he is going to stay at DE at a major program. He has a good motor, but at his size should probably be fast enough to be playing LB at the high school level. He looks like a solid mid-major/lower tier SEC prospect to me.

Bay Point resumes without Carter

By ANDRE C. FERNANDEZ

[email protected]

Bay Point High School found out Tuesday it will be able to play football this season, but without highly recruited defensive lineman Antoine Carter.
The Florida High School Athletic Association reinstated Bay Point's membership Tuesday, allowing its opponents to honor their original contracts to play the Falcons this season.
But Carter, a 6-4, 226-pound senior defensive end who led the county overall with 25 sacks last year, transferred to Fort Lauderdale Dillard on Friday.
''I wanted to be able to play my senior year, and since I didn't know if [Bay Point] was going to be able to play, I had to do what I had to do,'' said Carter, who has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Auburn, Mississippi, Wisconsin and Southern Mississippi. ``I'll always have Bay Point on my mind. It's hard leaving my teammates and coach [Don] Chaney because he brought me up to what I am now.''
Chaney said he didn't blame Carter for transferring because the chance to potentially compete in the state playoffs his senior season would undoubtedly help Carter's college recruiting. Bay Point is still banned from the state playoffs in all sports for the next three years.
''A kid like [Carter] has too much riding on his senior year, with all those offers on the table,'' Chaney said.
Chaney said the Falcons still have six opponents confirmed for football and are hoping to finalize their schedule as early as today.
As of Tuesday, 17 high schools still had their FHSAA membership status suspended, including five from Dade (Champagnat, Colonial Christian, Horeb Christian, La Progresiva and Miami Union) and two from Broward (Miramar Parkway Academy and Davie Westlake Prep).
