Jacksonville Duo Commits To USC

Jacksonville First Coast High School teammates DB Jamire Williams (6-0 180) and Arkee Smith (6-2 185) committed to USC Thursday afternoon. Both players had been favoring the Gamecocks throughout the season. Williams said earlier in the week he would commit to the Gamecocks within a couple of weeks, and Smith had said he, too, would be committing. Williams also had offers from Tennessee, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, NC State, Florida and South Florida. Smith also had offers from Ball State and Florida Atlantic. Their commitments push the Gamecocks' total to 12 for the 2007 class.
