'07 FL ATH Art "The Shark" Evans (Tennessee Verbal)

As a couple of posters have already said, it's hard to tell how fast he is, as some of that competition looked like St. Angela of the Quaking Aspens...

But what I do like is his cut ability, and the ability to make people miss. I see him being a possession type of guy as a WR --- if he can run good routes and has good field vision he will be able to get open.

Kinda like a Cris Carter.

Would definitely look good in the ugly new jerseys!

kinda reminds me of a Peter Warrick with better speed.
he can definitely move, although he obviously doesn't have Saine-type acceleration or Ginn-type top speed, he is plenty fast.

What was weird was how he almost always let the ball hit the ground first on those kick returns. I guess the ones that made the highlight reel were the ones where he got a good bounce.:)

Obviously WAY better than the competition. Showed very good hands/reflexes and of course great vision and change of direction.

Small school product was one of the most productive small school players in the state last year. He was one of the top cornerbacks at the Scout.com All-American Combine at FAU.

Art picked up an offer from Tennessee and says the VOls are in his top 2 with Duke. He says most schools, including tOSU, have told him he is the #1 player on their board.

Something strange here...either Art is telling part of the story or dancing to his own music.

That whole article seemed a little strange to me as well. Somethings just dont seem to add up when you read it twice.

Do you think maybe he's talking about being #1 at his position? That could be more reasonable(though still doubtful).

i AM very bias; just so you know...... but i HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt that, looking at coach tress' track record, tOSU would be telling him that he is our "#1 guy". i'll bet that sooner or later we'll hear less and less of this guy. imo.

I would like to have this guy take over for Santonio in a couple of years, especially if Ray Small doesnt get in. Very quick and shifty. Holmes clone. Go Bucks
It really upsets me when people say that recruits are clones of former players. Apparently every white LB that comes in at 6'1" 220 is a Hawk clone, and now there's a lot of Holmes clones going around. You can say they have similar playing styles, but let's wait until they show it on the field that they can play like the big boys. On that note, I hope we can reel in Evans, looks to be a good player.
