From the Auburn site...Phelon visited Auburn for their junior day yesterday. His older brother, Tiger Jones, played at Louisville. He claims no favorites at this point.

Phelon lists his favorites as Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Louisville. He does say Michigan is his favorite right now because of how many DBs the school produces.

It's sort of funny how an Auburn update the day before says he has no favorites. Interesting how he went from no favorites to instantly having Michigan as his favorite.

i was ready to throw the BS card the moment I read he was impressed by how many db's the school produces, unless his definition is overrated safeties that leave early to go undrafted.

That doesn't even make sense. Michigan isn't listed in his list of favorites, yet they are his favorite? That and the comment about them putting DB's in the NFL make me think it's definitely slanted, or they meant to say Ohio State.

Maybe he's a history major, and is referring to Woodson & Law. I know JT would never negatively recruit, but the word "Shazor" would come immediately to mind. I'm sure LLLLoyd would remind him of Marlin Jackson, but our list would be significantly longer of late.

Jones actually does not list Michigan as his favorite. In the article he repeatedly describes Michigan as "one of his favorites" which can be quite different.

Even though the "mom factor" didn't get us Matthews before that is still very nice to see. Man Ohio State alum are infact EVERYWHERE!

Hes mostly getting a look at corner, but some schools are impressed with him on both sides of the ball.

This kid is such a great athlete, you just worry about bringing him in now and where he will play later...

Well that's what a 4.38 forty will do for you I guess. Seeing what we did with Teddy, Phelon has to like the way we utilize our athletes.
