Another Offer For Prochak

 ATH Nick Prochak (6-3 212) has added an offer from Duke to his growing list of offers. Prochak also has offers from Clemson, USC, Vanderbilt and Furman. Prochak will visit Furman January 6th followed by Clemson on the 13th, Vanderbilt on the 15th and USC on the 20th. Prochak said he talked with USC head coach Steve Spurrier Thursday night and was called by Clemson recruiter David Blackwell earlier in the week as well. He does not have a favorite.

Prochak Commits To USC

 ATH Nick Prochak (6-3 212) of Spartanburg High School ended 2005 with a bang by committing to USC. Prochak called Gamecock recruiter Ron Cooper Saturday night and made his pledge. "I had some good talks with coach Cooper and coach Spurrier over the holiday," Prochak said Sunday. "I just started breaking down the pros and cons of each school, and Carolina was the place I need to be. I have a great relationship with coach Cooper and coach Spurrier. Coach Spurrier called on a regular basis and showed a lot of interest. I feel I can trust him. The team is headed in the winning direction. I'm happy to be a part of it." Prochak also had offers from Clemson, Vanderbilt, Duke and Furman. This season Prochak passed for 1700 yards and 17 touchdowns. But he played safety in the Shrine Bowl and is primarily projected for that position though USC will give him an early look at quarterback.
