Scouting Report: Good presence with the ball, and hits the hole hard on offense. Shines at the high school level as a safety with amazing closing speed and solid lower body strength. Likes to fly through opposing ball-carriers.

As a junior he was first team All-Midwestern Conference. He was also selected as All-WPIAL Class A by both the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

As a Junior, Ashton had 92 carries for 600 yards and 6 TDs.

At this time Cobb is sitting on one scholarship offer (Akron) but says schools like Ohio State, Penn State, the rest of the Big 10, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Kansas and Louisville are showing lots of interest at this point.

He carries a 2.9 GPA. Cobb bench presses 320, squats 450 and power cleans 225 pounds.

From the Kentucky site...Ashton lists Iowa, Indiana, Penn State, Kentucky, and Akron as his favorites. He is also considering Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, and Louisville. He has an offer from Akron at this point.
