3rd time is a charm! Miami in January!
Dave Telep just had an update and it's not good. Raymar just visited MSU and they clearly lead. Michigan is second with no mention of OSU.

As casey buckeye said previously.....Michigan State is the leader with Michigan second. Morgan took an unofficial visit to Michigan State on Monday.<TABLE cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=0 width="98%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR><TD colSpan=3>Morgan Has Leader; Took Recent Visit![]()

Raymar Morgan, Scout.com’s No. 28 prospect in America, is a man of few words. So, when he says he’s got a leader, take note.

I agree...Raymar can't go wrong with whatever choice he makes. All we can do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.OHSportsFan9 said:Hmm, interesting that OSU might "strike out" on getting that 5th player(+Chichester) or that PF.
Now it wouldn't be a bad strike out. It would be nice to get that final player to the class, but it isn't really a need. Though I think it is important to find another player that may stay until their Jr./Sr. year. I thought Morgan could be that guy.
Just interesting that we go from being in on Young, to Macklin, Tucker, Morgan and now to me, it looks like we won't get any of them.
Can't blame Morgan either. Michigan State (where I see him choosing) is very good bball school and Izzo is a hell of a coach. Plus they've been with him the whole time. While tOSU did seem to be hesitant at times (waiting on others, makes it like he was our 3rd option).
I'd really love for Raymar to come in and finish this class. Still time left in this recruiting process. I hope he comes in on the 10th and takes in the official visit to tOSU.
Doesnt sound too promising. Hopefully Matta can work some of his magic on him.bucknuts44820 said:rivals.com$

From the Michigan site............Ohio State is in third place at this point. Morgan should know by the end of the week his visits and dates. He intends to visit Michigan, Ohio State and possibly Michigan State. Morgan says he wants to make a decision before the November signing period and may not be that far away from a decision after his visits.
The person who posted this I'm pretty sure is an OSU fan. Sounds like Morgan has a lot of people around him pushing MSU. Hopefully once we get him on campus that can make a big impression in OSU's favor.99forever said:Bret i would not get too excited about Morgan going to UM i know 2 HS basketball coaches in the Canton area this kid has been a Spartan from birth his family, his AAU Coach, and his HS coach are in lock step behind MSU (Close family friend Eric Snow) also behind MSU, if you want to here why UM has been bumped ahead of OSU Morgan has a aunt that is on UM athletic training staff word is it looks better for her if Morgan appears very interested in UM more than OSU the home state school kinda face saving if you know what i mean if this kid does not end up at MSU were talking MAJOR UPSET.

Give us some encouraging news on Raymar! Is he going to be in Columbus on the 10th?

As far as the visits go...

The 10th is the tentative date. Right now, it's looking like all four recruits will be in on the wekeend of the 10th, and they are pushing for Morgan to join them, although Michigan is now wanting him on campus that weekend as well. Ohio State will use that weekend as a huge recruiting weekend. I still think it will be MSU the first weekend of September, then in consecutive weeks Michigan and Connecticut. (I don't see him taking a visit to Carolina).

At this point, has the ship sailed as it pertains to Morgan? Sure haven't heard much encouraging news from the RM camp of late.

It seems that way on the surface, but the kid really has a few parts of his recruitment that is making the decision tough. In the end, staying close to home is always an appealing option, and after his visits, people forget the emotional element of staying close to home and how that could still tip the scales in Ohio State's favor. Michigan State is definitely the favorite right now, but they do not have this wrapped up.
