Bob had a great performance at the Akron combine. He is expecting offers to start rolling in after the camp season. He is hearing from Michigan State, Ohio State, Iowa, Akron, Miami of Ohio, and Toledo and plans to camp at each.

I watched the video of Bob avilable at Sunshine Preps, which shows him playing both offense and defense. I don't think there is any question that his future is as an interior lineman, probably at offensive guard. He plays some DE in the videos, but that is not where he will end up. He is a solid run blocking lineman, and a bit more athletic than I thought he would be, although henplays way to tall. His pass blocking was decent as he does a good job of keeping his arms and hands within the frame of his body. He does a solid job ofturning his man inside or outside when the play calls for it. There are also a few clips of Bob playing DT, which are much more impressive than the ones of him playing DE.

Bob Gulley has also picked up offers from Akron and Bowling Green this week. Bob also Attended the John Teerlinck NFL Big Man Camp for the past two days held at Strongsville HS. There were over 150 top offensive and defensive linemen in attendance. After two days of Competition Bob was named the OVERALL top lineman covering both offense and defense and received the coveted “ROCK“ trophy. Bob will be camping at Iowa this weekend, then to WVA, Pitt, OSU and MSU.

Indianapolis Colts defensive line coach John Teerlinck got a nice honor from the NFL recently: the league has agreed to sponsor and support the former Browns assistant's annual summer "Big Man" Camp at Strongsville High.

There’s no doubt that the strength of the Midwest is and always will be the offensive line. The state of Ohio is absolutely loaded with road graders in 2005 and this group is led by Cincinnati (Colerain) tackle Connor Smith. Here’s a look at the rest of the “Top 10” offensive linemen in the Midwest.
</TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=3>
1. Connor Smith, 6-5, 295, 5.0, Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain
Dominates the line-of-scrimmage…Could play guard or tackle

2. Justin Boren,, 6-3, 305, 5.0, Pickerington (Ohio) North
A mauler that has already given Michigan his commitment

3. Lee Tilley, 6-5, 320, 5.1, Springfield (Ohio) South
Huge wingspan…good feet…Big, mean and strong

4. Aaron Brown, 6-6, 280, 5.1, Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton
Has everyone in C-Bus holding their breath…Huge upside

5. Jake Bscherer, 6-7, 275, 5.1, Sturgeon Bay (Wis.)
Wisconsin commit has the frame and potential to be a great one

6. Matt Carufel, 6-5, 290, 5.3, Saint Paul (Minn.) Cretin Derham-Hall
Strikingly similar talents of current Michigan tackle Adam Stenavich

7. Ramone Johnson, 6-4, 315, 5.2, Chicago (Morgan Park)
#7 OL is the #1 prospect in the Land of Lincoln…Tough and talented

8. Brandon Jordan, 6-5, 290, 5.1, Merrillville (Ind.)
Illinois commitment could end up being the best in the crop of linemen

9. Bob Gulley, 6-4, 275, 5.2, Berea, Ohio
Stock on the rise…Impressive effort at the (Akron) Scout.com combine

10. Jarrod Smith, 6-4, 280, 5.2, Fairborn, Ohio
