By Duane Long...Taylor favors Ohio State, followed by Minnesota and Michigan State. Pitt and WVU are also recruiting him. Most schools are looking at him as a corner. Scout lists an offer from Akron.

I know this kid is a longshot for an offer, but you have to like corners who are 6-2 195 and can run a 4.25.

while his 40 time is blazing, his shuttle time is not quite as impressive...which leads me to believe that he is more of an athlete at this point and is learning to be a football player. this is the kind of kid who you could see the staff taking a late flyer on considering he could play DB or WR, has size, and incredible speed.

Good call Wes.

From what I was told, Taylor is a straight-ahead burner with difficulty moving laterally and coming out of cuts.

Also heard a murmur about not caring for contact that much.

I hate to label a kid without seeing him first hand (and I might indeed end up seeing one of his games this year), but I can see Taylor fitting into the Michael Roberts mold- a DB with great measurables (particularly speed), but doesn't see the field in college.

Sounds like a project to me, burst or bust, if he gets an offer. Interesting to see what position he would play, whether it be DB, WR, or be a career special teams player as a returner, tackler, or gunner.

With the measurables and that speed, Price seems like a perfect "gunner", although it has been stated be may not like contct as much as others. But you sure have to be impressed with his speed numbers.

That is hand timed...but still smoking. The kid's wheels are not the issue here...
