He is also hearing from Clemson, Tennessee, Florida, Mississippi State, Louisville, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Marshall, Arkansas, Connecticut, Baylor, Kansas State, Southern Miss, Minnesota, and Boston College. He is extremely humble, carries a 3.40 GPA with a 1400 SAT and is wide open at this point.

Keep in mind that the SAT test was recently expanded... i believe that the maximum on the test is now out of 2400 instead of 1600. I have a feeling that this new test is really going to throw off our perecption of "good scores" now.

Georgia was his leader, now he is listing everyone even. His top schools are Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Auburn, Maryland and Ohio State. He recently went on unofficial visits to Duke, Georgia Tech and Georgia.

From the Auburn site...Asher is up to 16 offers, including Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Maryland, Illinois, Duke and Vanderbilt. This spring he has visited Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Duke and Ohio State. He has a 3.85 GPA and a 1,400 on the SAT.

He plans on narrowing his list to a top 5 by the end of the summer and make a final decision in mid-Fall. OUt of his list, Asher is most interested in Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Notre Dame.

Allen Learns More About Notre Dame

The last time Irish Eyes spoke with Tucker (Ga.) athlete Asher Allen, the Irish had just offered the 5-10, 180-pound athlete. Allen, while flattered by the Notre Dame offer, admitted he really knew very little about Northern school. That all has changed according to Allen.

Allen will go to Notre Dame on an unofficial visit in June. They have offered and he wants to trim his list to seven by the end of summer.​
