I agree with you. Chekwa is close but I would rather have Udell if we can get him. Hearing Udell likes Clemson though since his teammate DeAndre McDaniel is going there. We shall see.

Update from the Cali-Florida Bowl. Apparantly Marcus has been impressive...
"Credit is certainly still due to the offense. Aside from a strong set of personnel to go up against in the front seven, Tebow and company have had to battle against a strong secondary on the Florida team that includes Ryan Hill, Jacques Rickerson, and the very impressive Marcus Udell who has been making plays at both safety and in the one-on-one corner drills."

FSU, Miami, and UF all really like Udell. Everyone is correct in stating that grades are the reason why his offer list isn't bigger. An FSU guru told me that Marcus will have to Prep a year...

DB Marcus Udell (5-11 180) of Tallahassee was scheduled for an official visit to Clemson this month, but after talking with recruiter Dabo Swinney Sunday night, that visit is off. "It just didn't work out," Udell said. "I don't think I fit into their scheme. And they are about filled up anyway." Udell has visited Maryland and NC State. He will visit Alabama January 13th and Florida on the 20th. And he might visit Georgia on the 27th. He favors Florida, Alabama and Georgia.

The staff has backed off of Marcus a little now. After the committment of Chekwa, and Marcus' academic uncertainty, I don't believe he will be much of a target anymore.

With the departure of AY and DW, this recruitment is about to pick up again. There is no confirmation of a visit or discussion of Udell's interest, but with the scenario changing, a few sources are telling BP that Marcus is a primary target again.
