Ashton Henderson
Cornerback / Wide Receiver
Tallahassee Lincoln
Height: 6-foot-0
Weight: 180 pounds

Claims an interest in and offer from Ohio State; also offered by Michigan State, Ole Miss (visit 10/15), UCLA (visit 1/21), Central Florida, Vanderbilt, and Illinois (visit 12/9). Seems like a back up plan if Wallace and Hill both end up elsewhere.

Well I guess it is a good sign that FSU is not in the mix. Lincoln is a usually a straight pipeline to FSU.

Same school as Fred Rouse(FSU) and Joe Bauserman(QB recruit 2 years ago that went to play baseball)

I wonder if we still have some good connection down there from the Bauserman recruitment.

This kid is a great looking prospect, and Lincoln plays some top notch football. I hope we get him in for an official like he says.

Yep if he comes in on the 20th we will know by then what we need, b/c Wallace will have made a decision and we will know what Youbouty is doing.

I think this kid has some very good measureables and as 22 said Lincoln plays top notch football.

Great read from Mike Wachsman... Ashton just gushes about tOSU and the possible chance to play here. He has a tentative visit set for 1/6, and will find out this week or next whether it will be moved or stay on the 6th.

Ashton sounds like a great young man who is VERY interested in tOSU...

I am still on the fence about which guy I like the best for that last db spot, but I think I am leaning to him, and bring in Derell Johnson on O and call it a class.

I can live with that. I really like Ashton as well, maybe the most out of him, Chekwa, and Udell. I just keep coming back to where he plays his football in HS. Great competition and great coaching at Lincoln. Those guys churn out some great football players. I think that's a big plus.

Exactally, it would be like an under the radar recruit coming out of Massilon or a Mckinley. If they produce against good competition it goes a long way in my book.

I still like Udell and Henderson over Chikwa and Mister Alexander...I would love to see us land Henderson. I especially like this quote by his coach:

"He is a good kid, a great student, and he works hard in the classroom. He is a soft spoken young man, off the field (laugh), as he is one nasty fellow on the field. He has what you call that mean streak in him. He is one of the hardest hitters I have been around. He is a legit 6' 0" cover corner who moves around like he is 5' 8". He is a big guy that runs like a little guy. Ashton has great hips, and like I said before, he will knock the daylights out of you. I might be biased, but I think he is the best CB in Florida."
