'06 FL CB Ryan Hill (Miami signee)

You know, all the coaches need to say to these kids is that if they seriously have NFL aspirations then going to a northern shouldn't be a big deal (weather-wise)because it only helps to get them ready for playing in NE, Cleveland, GB, NY, KC, Denver, etc!!

From BSB...Hill loved his visit to OSU, especially the academics and the people. He is visiting Alabama on 1/13, Miami on 1/20 and possibly Clemson on 1/27. OSU and Miami are still neck and neck.

A VERY positive update of OSU...

If you ask me we are in trouble if we arent the leader especially with the Miami visit looming on the 20th...

like i said earlier, i think the fact that he's from florida definitely pulls him towards miami. on the other hand, he has to know what Miami is like and i dont think an official can sway him all that much.

Our chances with wallace seem to be getting slimmer and slimmer and i like how we are neck and neck with Miami. the bowl game could be the deciding factor for him.

I would agree that that logic normally applies, but I don't think it applies to every recruit, and in my opinion, this was a very positive update for the Buckeyes with regards to Hill. Getting any kid from Florida away from Miami is always a challenge, but Ryan Hill sounds like he is genuinely interested in the idea of being a Buckeye.

I think it was a plus that he said he didnt mind the weather. It was very cold in Ohio this weekend and he said it only got cold when he was outside for a long time.

I agree with Wad that this was a very positive visit for tOSU, I just hate the fact that his Miami visit is clear into January. The tOSU visit could be in clear in the back of his mind by then.

We are not currently listed as the leader for Small, Browning and Rose, yet are in good shape with them.

excellent point, although we all know where they are leaning. but Hill seemed to genuinely enjoy his visit and I think the bowl games will also give him something else to think about...Miami has a tough game against LSU in the Peach Bowl, and while that probably won't factor a whole lot into his decision, it certainly won't hurt if the Buckeyes go out and put up a solid defensive performance in the Fiesta Bowl.
