Another recent offer, Allen has USC leading slightly over UCLA, Washington, Oklahoma, and Ohio State (all have offered). He wants to visit tOSU because of the great tradition and fan support. Allen plans to take all of his visits.

Oh wow, this came out of leftfield. Allen has been shooting up the charts and was talked about as being one of the best LB's in the entire country. A future LB group of Freeman, Hoobler, Homan, Laurinaitis AND Bradford, maybe Gibson too? Holy s***!!!!!

Oh, let's throw Mark Johnson in there too for some fun. Two guys that I really haven't heard anything about all of a sudden say that tOSU are in their top four or five. Definately these were a couple nice surprises. Allen sounds like a stud and I wish he could wear the S&G.

Allen holds offers USC, Oregon, UCLA, Washington, Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and Notre Dame is supposed to be on the way. He plans to take his unofficial visits close to home so he can use his officials for the distant schools. Coach Fickell was at Allen's spring practice. He is impressed with tOSU's production of NFL players and the quality of education.

Not too sure why he would go to USC. They got 4*Brian Cushing, 4*Luthor Brown 3*Kevin Ellison, 4*Kaluka Maiava and 5*Rey Maualuga last year, plus 5*Keith Rivers and 5*Ryan Powdrell the year before. I think it is safe to say that they are pretty stacked at LB right now. Whereas our top 4 graduate this year and we start all over. Now, we do have at least 2 studs for sure (Hoobler, Freeman) plus Terry, Homan and Luarinaitis in the mix. However, with Bradford being a top LB right now, he should get considerable playing time for a defense who churns out NFL players like there is no tomorrow.

</TD><TD class=summary vAlign=top>The top overall prospect in California, Bradford is a punishing tackler and is very aggressive and quick to the point of attack. He also moves very well laterally and has good instincts. Bradford also shows off his tremendous athletic ability at running back. Southern Cal, Arizona, Georgia, UCLA, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Washington and Oklahoma are on Bradford's early list. Jeremy Crabtree says: "Could he be the nation's top running back? Some really think so, but he also projects as the nation's No. 1 linebacker prospect." [Bradford Video]

Wow I had not heard of this guy until now which is surprising because he is so highly ranked and is interested in OSU. Sounds like a beast and would look good with homan and luarinaitis

Encouraging news... top 5: UCLA, USC, Ohio State, Washington, and Oklahoma, in no particular order. Waiting to narrow things down a little more. Won't be attending any summer camps, though will take some unoffical visits.

Allen has 17 offers right now and names USC, Washington, UCLA, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, LSU, and Cal as his leaders. He says he is wide open, will decide as soon as he has a chance to reasearch the schools, and he is looking for a family atmosphere amongst the team.

Theres a new article about Bradford up on BSB now. I don't have premium but here's the link:

Colton, Calif. linebacker Allen Bradford, the nation's top-rated outside linebacker prospect by Rivals.com., admits that although the real meat of the recruiting season is still ahead, Ohio State is one of 20 schools that has made him an offer. He had some interesting things to say about the Buckeyes, and football in general.

Allen says that he really likes our tradition and the fatc we are known for great linebackers. He doesn't know much else but he will defnitely be looking into it. Fickell stopped by recently to check out a practice and the offer came soon after. Wants to play LB, but will also play Safety is need be. Playing is a big factor, as always, and the fact that Hawk, Carpenter, Schlegel and possibly D'Andrea leaving this year should really help us in that department.

EDIT: If we only got 1 OOS recruit this year, I want it to be Allen. His videos are absolutely sick. A defeinite stud at the next level.

Excerpt from Ed Orgeron Article:

Bradford was named MVP of the USC Nike Camp in April. Bradford is currently ranked the No. 7 player over all in the nation by Rivals.com and the No. 1 outsider linebacker in the country and is a five star prospect.

"Ole Miss was my first offer and I haven't forgotten that, Coach O saw something that now everyone else is seeing, but he was the first," Bradford said. "Ole Miss is definitely still one of my top schools, I feel that I could really make a big splash in the SEC and start right away for Coach O, I can see myself doing great things at Ole Miss."

Bradford and teammate Sharief Wright will be making the trip to Oxford sometime this summer to see Oxford and the Ole Miss campus.

"We are going to come down sometime in July, we want to see all the great things we have been hearing about," said Bradford. "I really like Coach O a lot, he is very straight forward and the type of coach I would love playing for."
