'05 MI WR/DB Talonnie Russell

Buckskin86 said:
in the latest Rivals article he claims not to have a favorite-he still hopes to camp at tOSU-no mention of a Miami offer but he did say he has a scUM offer

Didn't some people claim Russell only listed the Buckeyes as his favorite early on to get a scUM offer? Well he has that offer and hasn't committed. Makes you wonder if he really does want to be a Buckeye?

um already has MM and a receiver from Louisiana. They're also hot after Harvey from Penn. I can't believe they want this many receivers in a lean scholarship year. They got 3 last year and they need corners badly. Makes me wonder who's getting the switch? Dutch and Trent are my guesses.

Chris Pool, who's opinion I respect, has Russell rated as his #1 player in the state up north. I haven't seen an update on him in a while but I hope he still camps here. He's definitely a playmaker. I suppose with guys like Hartline, Robiskie, Orton, Amos and other oos prospects still on the radar he'd have to really impress at camp to get an offer.

I'd say that OSU is set with WR's - Hartline's in the fold, and Amos, Robiskie, Sledge, and even Lymon are all strong possibilities. OSU is turning away quality kids like Orton, so I doubt that the staff is much worried about the receiving corps right now.

Michigan hasn't offered Russell

Per his latest update.

I doubt he ever gets a U-M offer with our limited ships this year. Just goes along with what I've said all along that people in the know (his high school coach) says that Michigan has hardly contacted Talonnie much at all as of yet.
