'05 MD LB Rico McCoy (Tennessee signee)

Gut feeling?
Not exactly, I feel that if he hasnt committed to the Vols with all the negative press we have gotten lately and the fact that our staff went in and eased his fears, tells me we might be the favorite at this point.

I believe if he was going to committ to the Vols he would have done it soon after the recent media blitz by ESPN, the fact he didnt...you have to like our chances.

it was always his intention to announce at the AA game. nothing has changed that. has he informed the coaches at this point? possibly. the fact that he said that UT had a slight lead before JT's in-home is alarming, especially since UT had an in-home shortly thereafter. all the UT recruiting gurus are calling him a UT lock, which isnt a good sign either.

I hope he gives the bucks the nod. Losing one to Tenn would really suck.

of course that is what they are saying....they are UT guys. Who knows whats going to happen, but I have a hunch that he will go with the Bucks based on the fact that he wants to learn from our group of great backers.

Also, I though JT had the last in home visit with him and not UT? I could be wrong here.

Alex Boone on Rico McCoy:

Boone started at left tackle for the East and during scrimmage he looked light on his feet as he attacked the linebackers.

Alex wasn’t always met with open arms when he made it out to the 2nd level. “Rico Suave baby,” Boone said, shaking his head.

“Rico McCoy is one bad dude. He was easily the best linebacker on our team. He’s so fast and physical. One time I went out to block him and he got me right under the chin. I was impressed.

As per Alan, the member NevadaBuck is a bit of an insider. At 3:30 on Bucknuts he indicated that "it looked pretty good" for McCoy and to "keep the fingers crossed." Also, there is supposedly a picture of McCoy in San Antonio to be posted later today (bucknuts) that Buckeye fans will like. FWIW.

I'm skeptical but hopeful.
