Same issues with the offense where they don't really have much of an identity. It's just 5 guys trying to play 1 on 1 ball most of the time. If the 3s aren't falling this group can probably lose to about anyone with how bad the half-court defense looks.

Yea, Half-court defense is looking pretty brutal even against way lesser competition here. Not sure how effective a press is going to be against better competition, but they are likely going to have to play that kind of pressure to try to mask the lacking points.

West Virginia

YSU is basically a whole new team this year (only 1 returning player from last year's roster). They weren't very good last year (15-17), not sure what to expect really from them, but this feels like a game we need to win easily.

I fully expect a probably not pretty L to Uconn. The "sky is falling" will come if they come out and look bad against the low-mid major teams on the OOC slate.

I think in the previous 2 years they've done a good job at being pretty fair and not drinking the SEC Kool aid. However in this last year of the 12 teamer, this first poll looks strategic to help them maximize the SEC teams they can jam in

They were talking about Mississippi State as a quality win for Bama......Mississippi State has lost 4 games in a row and 3 of those were by at least 28 points, the other was a 8 point home loss to a bad Oklahoma team. I guess at least they don't even try to hide the SEC bias

Alabama in the top 5 is pure comedy. UCLA would be in the top 3 if they had an SEC patch on their uniform. But since they don't they are behind 2 2 loss teams and a fucking 1 loss Kentucky.

It's definitely completely possible that they still win the regular season out. If they play clean and avoid the flood of self-inflicted penalties (especially in the RZ) they probably do win out, just not sure this unit is capable of that. But we will see.

It's because of a new military initiative that requires all military bases to be able to be self-sustaining for at least 90 days in case of a cyber-attack or some sort of other sabotage cutting off power/supply chains. Of course, people twist that into "the end is nigh" though.

A thing to consider with the new 76 team field. It's really going to have to be re-defined what "success" actually looks like. I don't think limping into the tail end of a 76-team field should be considered a major accomplishment, especially in relevance to job security for the coach.
