Yup. This game won't be too big for the good guys. But it might be for UW. Other than being an away game we have everything going in our favor. Don't know why the spread is so close to be honest.
Really looking forward to this game. Listening to Day, he really seems to be excited about this matchup against UW. I think that over the length of 4 quarters that our talent and depth is going to show. Hoping for a clean game from the good guys. Avoid penalties and turnovers and we should be good.
In Day's presser today he sure seemed to indicate that though they will use all three RBs that they are going to be feeding the ball to Bo Jackson. Me likey. He's definitely a difference maker.
Among other things, I think we have an advantage with both our OL and DL. And as we all know, it's in the trenches where games are won or lost. A few injuries on Washington's D (LB / DB) will likely impact the game as well. You don't want a DB with a bad wheel trying to cover Smith or Tate. And...
You have good reason to be a fan. They are going to be a problem for a lot of teams this year. Having said that, they haven't face a quality, let alone good or great defense this year. That will change this Saturday.
IIRC we haven't seen a lot of crossing patterns this year. Regardless, I don't think the tall CBs for Washington are going to handle Tate or Smith one on one.
It will be interesting to see Washington's man on man defense vs Ohio States offense. Notre Dame did a decent job but I'm not sure that Washington has the horses to keep up. Thoughts?
