Darrieus' and his team had a solid first game performance, elevating them into the Vpreps State Top 10. See link below...

Both schools are in his top 5...but you always have to pay due respect to whom ever offers first...because that shows that they are willing to take a chance with him....
Thanks Rob. I'll keep you guys posted as things develop. But before it's all over, Darrieus should have offers from Bama, UNC and FSU. They are showing the most interest at this time. Although UVA has been there from the start, Darrieus doesn't fit Groh's larger 4 deep type DBs. So...
UNC started writing a few weeks ago and he was invited to their Blue Chip Day....he also did well at their one day Sr. camp... so right now, most schools want to evaluate him on the field in a game situation... He's shinned on film and in camp.....so if it comes down to watching him play, it...
Thanks for the support, you guys have been great and as always, I'll keep you posted on his progress. He's pretty much impressed at both camps and has been shutting down all comers from his DB position. He ran a solid 4.4 on the slow next-turf at Bama and a 4.5 at MD on an even slower...
When I read that Arkansas...the first thing I did was write the editor to have that changed... That should have read Bama. They mutually impressed each other during his camp visit. His luv for OSU is no less, unfortunately, OSU having a light recruiting year doesn't appear to have the space...
3 More days and Darrieus would be a soph.. he doesn't turn 17 until the end of Aug, so he has a lot of growth potential. That's one of the issues with recruiting today....it's become so competitive, schools are going deeper and deeper into the class years and expecting kids to be at full...
Thanks... during workouts today... Darrieus ran a 10.81 and a 10.90 100M Dash, his fastest to date. This will take him a long ways at states next weekend... I'll keep you posted..
One Busy Athlete..
Ramsey qualified for the states in track for the 100, 200 and 4x400 relay. He ran a whoppinng 48.78 in the first leg of the 400m and he had a 22.39 200m run. This all came after playing in a district soccer game the night before...
I never thought of it that way.... you made some very interesting points...sounds like OSU may be the way to go. I didn't realize scouts attended each other's camps... That's great info
Thanks Bartender....
True, with a 5' 10.5 frame he has plenty to work with, also 3 more days and he's a soph with a 27 Aug B'day. He's up to 160 since his last combine and is going through a slight growth spurt.
With colleges going deeper and deeper into the classes to recruit, growth potential has to be a...
It will be one of the two... OSU appears to be so limited with offers this year, it appears that it may be a long shot for them to offer an out of state sleeper back/DB even if he does have 4.3 speed. What do you guys think?
