Cap can be manipulated with converting salaries to signing bonuses. Look at what the saints have done for a long time now. Browns did it this past offseason and as long as ole Jimmy is willing to fork over the cash they will be able to stay competitive roster-wise.

Browns have plenty of cap room, if they can't work out a deal they can use the franchise tag on him.

He is a very good player but is a free agent so a deal will need to be worked out for this to be a good deal, I'm curious if the Browns will have matching status if he doesn't sign a deal by seasons end. But nothing like going to bed 7-1 on Sunday and waking up as an 0-8 Brownie on Monday.
