I guess that's one way to spin it...
UM didn't recruit him seriously. Lump him in with J. Hankins.
Good prospect but there are issues that kept UM from offering.
Last JUCO recruit, LB Austin Panter (IIRC, '06 or '07).
I've been told that UM always recruited like this. This is no change from the Carr-era.
Hell, most UM fans have typically criticize the coaches for not offering guys soon enough.
Mole hill, meet mountain.
So that he can welcome him off the plane and be with every other major recruit that is looking at UM.
Sorry, but Ricardo moving to Ann Arbor now is only good for UM.
Only team that I see challenging UM is UNC. That said, with Ricardo Miller in his ear regularly, I have a hard time believing Marvin needs up elsewhere.
With regard to Dior, I've seen some say that while he isn't as thick as Cissoko, he has better hips and excellent recovery speed (10.4m in the hundy).

2005, 6 recruits
2006, 4 "
2007, 5 "
2008, 5 "
2009, 5 "
It's not like UM always took 10ish MI players a year. Agree that UM is recruiting FL much harder now.
UM generally ends up so-so... usually a big surprise commitment accompanied by a surprise loss (see DWarren/RoJo, Nick Perry/Ricky Barnum & Tay Odoms).
This year... yikes. UM is at 20 commitments right now with Pearlie Graves and DeQuinta Jones visiting other schools. (IMO) Looks like UM will...
Right easy pick up that has stronger secondary effects for UM... UM in good position for other FL players like WR Kenny Shaw, QB Christian Green, CB Tyler Blandin and CB Lo Wood, not to mention S Robinson.
Base package was a 3-3-5... I don't know enough about the defense to know if Warren was a safety or a rover or what, but he wasn't lined up over a WR all the time like a normal CB... so whatever you call that crazy position... that's what he played.
Right now, UM would kill for someone that is lacking physically in favor of someone that has good football IQ at the safety position... all the athletic ability in the world with Stevie Brown, but nothing to show for it.
Warren might be good to move to safety as well if Turner's hips are as...
