    2026-27 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Remember playing pickup ball at Whetstone Rec Center - outside. Also remember each of my shots missed, mostly because of the wind blowing the ball enough to hit rim and fall away. At least that's what I told myself. Then going to A&W for a quart of root beer for 25 cents.

2028 OH DL Jameer Whyce is a Buckeye!!!

Yeah, and would imagine the 'worth' of the recruit is a direct correlation of the amount of time spent in staying in contact.

    2028 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

It's easier to climb the mountain than to stay atop of it, when all others are trying to knock you off the top.

    OSU Women's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Kitts is (to me at least) an enigma. See her floating around the 'crumb area' to pick up long rebounds, and doing her pull-up thing away from the reach of their bigs. Haven't really seen her get dirty fighting for rebounds. (I could have been going to the fridge when might have happened)...

    OSU Women's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Would expect that as an under-sized center (6'2"), maybe not so much in HS, she has learned how to box out for rebounds. connected those dots from her 5* ranking. Don't see enough of this in games to satisfy, so if she does this, will become my player favorite automatically. We watch the...

2028 OH DL Jameer Whyce is a Buckeye!!!

Even though he's an Ohio guy, even though he's couple of years out, the coaches still need to continue to recruit him. Along side their other duties, like getting new talent on board, still imagine that they have time blocked out to maintain contact. Not certain if it's every day/week like was...

    2028 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Makes sense. tOSU has had a long and storied history of National Titles, etc, while IU's was school's first. So alums are experiencing something that we Buckey alums take for granted. Kinda remember with NW went to Rose Bowl (recollect first trip ever), and all the Hollywood glitterati that...

    2028 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Not certain what kind of holy water Cignetti has going, but he seems to be in the thick of things for kids that are upper tier, rather than the lower tiers. Don't remember that sort of 'win the Nati and the kids will come' kinda thing happening to tOSU, but more power to IU. Just another notch...

2028 MA QB Christopher Vargas is a Buckeye!!!

Certainly a good/great sign that he wants to hang out in the Ohio heat, instead of the cool ocean breezes of Massachusetts. Showing him the 5* WRs already in the bag might have something to do with it. Those guys will keep his name in the newspapers, and the young OL will keep his name out of...

    PF A'mare Bynum (Official Thread)

Not to beat an almost dead horse, but 'encouraging' someone to enter the portal seems suspiciously like tampering to me. Which, I believe, is still an NCAA rule (not to). However, one can have a rule, but if not enforced, loses it's rule status. Anyway, just another way in which the NCAA has...

TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Tennessee Verbal)

So, does the above gold lock indicate that he's going to Notre Dame? Have they promised him a stairway to heaven?

'27 CA SF DeMarcus Henry (Verbal Offer)

His brother, Chris, is obviously a Buckeye, but didn't I also read that his sister is on tOSU basketball team? Come on DeMarcus, join OUR family here in Columbus, as well as YOURS. That would give Diebs three young 5*s at once.

Looks like a solid compliment to 6'6" Elsa in the post. This is gonna be a team to enjoy. Final Four, here we come!

2027 CA QB Brady Edmunds is a Buckeye!!!

Not entirely certain about this class, seems like most all of the QBs have a home somewhere else. He tried to get the Nebraska commit, but was rebuffed. Not certain if it's true, but have read that Day still wants Brady in this class. Kinda think the talk they had on Brady's visit kinda...

    tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Since this is the Recruiting forum, would certainly like to have DGG signed up, would be an awesome Buckeye, but at the same time, it appears (to me at least) that the RB room isn't too shabby now anyway. There is a 1,000 yard rusher as a freshman, another two or three guys anxious for their...

TN RB David Gabriel Georges (Tennessee Verbal)

Liked the above when said that Buckeye fans are wired to think negatively. Speaking for myself, tend to remember the losses more than the victories (in life as well as recruiting. Actually, truth be told, have learned more from my failures than my victories. Anyway, with tOSU, it seems that...

    Professional Players Returning to College

Was idly musing about the above, and suggest that tOSU signs LeBron as a TE, or play him (wherever he wants to play) on the basketball court, as he was a HS entry, and therefore has four years of eligibility left....he certainly doesn't need any NIL bucks....

    Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Kelsey's game reminds me favorably of Havlicek's career with the Celtics. Not a scorer at tOSU, but with the Celtics, his constant movement got him open, and believed he was (at one-time) in the top 10 of overall NBA scorers. Kelsey's constant movement gets her open, and amazingly, for layups...
