Maybe he starts as an Edge, but I really see him growing into a solid 3-tech sooner rather than later. Doesn't really matter to me, I think he's a couple years out anyways and I saw him as seriously underrated.

That's something Day & Co do a really good job at imo. They stay vigilant with committed recruits and don't count their chickens until the ink dries. I would imagine we stay in frequent contact here.
