I have no doubt there was a huge focus on Michigan this year, but I think this was a flawed team on the OL and how Sayin dealt with pressure, and no one really understood the depth of the issues until the last 2 games. By then it was too late to make the changes they probably needed to...
The schedule didn’t push them like it did last season, and the team didn’t grow as much. Next year’s will be significantly tougher, and we’ll see if it leads to longer strides and more creativity.
Not going to tell anyone to be confident, but the direction is clear.
Daniels could not get back in his drop. They desperately needed to move him to guard or replace him. Obviously there are issues at RG, too. The OL did not have the development and adaptation it did last year. Ian Moore needs...
Unfortunately this team didn’t have that next gear we hoped they did. They fought but couldn’t overcome the right side of the OL and Sayin’s inexperience.
And as good as the defense is, they’re not nearly good enough stopping the run to be an all time side.
You won’t see an argument from me about needing the best kicker available. Just don’t think it’s realistic when people say a 49 yarder is a chip shot. College kickers are inconsistent. The Groza winner missed 1-2 against Bama.
Yeah I think it’s more people seeing NFL kicking at an all time high with a handful of college kickers hitting some bombs. Has convinced people that they’re much worse than they used to be.
Could’ve been worse. Can’t spot a team 14 points and let them tee off.
Sayin has been amazing this year, but the last two games have shown how far he needs to go. OL is obviously the main issue, but he’s not seeing the field and the pressure has him totally out of it.
When you don’t have a...
Jesus. Can’t even get decent field position. They must score a TD here. Get a TD here, possibly get it back for another scoring opportunity, and then get the ball out of half time.
