Perhaps one of Kirk's weaknesses is not only his ego but his inability to read a room when it comes to Buckeye culture. Plus, playing the victim doesn't look good on him.

Not saying this is the case but sometimes there are behind the scenes issues that prompt such decisions. It could also be that he had an excused absence. I just don't think we should come to judgments based on speculation.
