Yeah, Whittingham has had the solid offense and not so good defense(ironic since he's known to be a defensive coach), whereas Kirk is known as the other way around. But word is, Kyle is set to hire the BYU DC. Would be a solid hire, but yet another coach will little recruiting acumen

This is more what I was thinking, and this post seems to be quite accurate scUM fans were going to jump for joy regardless of who was hired. But Kyle really isn't much different than Kirk. He will win the games he's supposed, and have an occasional upset. But still have a 9-10win season...

Agreed, this was the best possible hire for them, and he fits them with his play style. What will be interesting is how he can assemble talent by recruiting and the Portal. He consistently had classes in the 30s and 40s, and took a few years to properly utilize the Portal. I wonder if he leans...
