2008 was pretty good on paper, too. One of the all-time great high school players in Pryor, accompanied by the best O-line class in the country (Adams, Brewster, Shuggarts) and a bunch of other solid recruits that turned out to be real contributors (Posey, Stoneburner, Howard, Williams, etc.)...

If they can get Peraza out of the trade, that would be a pretty good deal. He's a top 25-50 prospect that is MLB ready and could steal upwards of 50 bags. He was a big part of the Alex Wood for Hector Olivera trade between the Dodgers and Braves last year.

Even if Urban and Richt are friendly, i think the chance of something like this happening is less than zero. Meyer demands his coaches hit the recruiting trail with relentlessness, and Richt is notorious for his dislike of the recruiting game and inability to consistently lock down even in-state...

If Beck were to be let go or demoted, I think we should take a look at Mike Sanford, the young QB coach at Notre Dame. He did a heck of a job with Kizer this year, and it would be good to take more coaches from the Domers. I know this is entirely unlikely, especially because Sanford has ND ties...
