And that because there is no demand for him, he's got no option but to return to ttun for whatever the admin feels he's worth, which can't be much more than they paid him last year.

Pretty much the same situation last year. He doesn't really want to be there, and the administration doesn't really want him there. But until one side or the other has a more attractive alternative to turn to, he'll stay and they'll let him.

Not to mention that throughout the season, the (self-proclaimed) Worldwide Leader spends countless hours debating which four teams should be in the CFP and gives air time to damn near anyone with a pulse to discuss "who's in?" I don't remember them giving the non-CFP games the same attention...

Yeah, and at the same time, players should put their livelihood and well-being at risk because of "the love of the game"....

I can't see his ego allowing this to be the final chapter in his coaching legacy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him on a college sideline in the fall.

Are the Texas boosters busy loading up the brinks truck to back up to Urban's front porch? Does Urban even have a front porch anymore, or does that now belong to Shelly - along with the rest of the house?

Does the university pay the NIL money, or is that between the sponsors and the athlete? I was under the impression (perhaps erroneously) that the University had nothing to do with the putting the players in touch with sponsors/negotiations/contracts/payments/appearances/ etc.

Coombs, Day, Barnes, Pantoni, Marroti, and so on. I'm guessing each of these guys have gotten to know these recruits and their families fairly well over the past year or two. I see what you're saying about Coombs, but if he's going to flip on a dime because the Texas boosters are throwing cash...

Its disappointing to see kids throw away literal years of relationship building with coaches and staffs for a 48 hour romance with a new suitor. But you also see stuff like this in real life - that's why guys leave their wives for strippers (with or without pet monkeys) That's recruiting for...
