What does it mean to "mount" an image...

No prob. Daemon tools gives you up to 4 more virtual CD/DVD drives on you computer. Instead of disks, you use images. An image may be a .iso, .mdf, .mds, and/or many other formats. The image is an exact copy of the information on a cd in a file format (think of burning a copy of a disk, but...

    Mozilla Firefox (official thread)

FWIW you can also get Firefox 2.0 from this link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-2.0&os=win&lang=en-US All you have to do is change the version number from 1.5.07 to 2.0 and it points you to the right file. Doesn't matter much since it's supposed to be...

    Mozilla Firefox (official thread)

Most of the extensions are still supported (I know, there are some really nice ones that just stopped being updated). Their developers will release an update to make them compatible. If not, then there is still hope. There is an extension that forces extensions to work with the new version...

    Mozilla Firefox (official thread)

I read his blog last night. He says everything EXCEPT that this was not the real thing. He gives tons of reasons why people shouldn't have dowloaded this file, but none of them say that it is not Firefox 2.0. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure that this was/is the real thing.

    Favorite Firefox Extensions

I can't live without adBlock. My other favorites are Download Them All (download accelerator) and Cutomize Google. I use a bunch of others, but 2.0 just provided their function by itself. My favorite theme is Mostly Crystal (http://www.tom-cat.com/mozilla/firefox.html), it's a linux-based look.

    Mozilla Firefox (official thread)

That is awesome. Most of my extensions still work, and my theme is supposed to be updated soon (per their site). Thanks again. :D

    CB Devon Torrence (official thread)

I was at to the Canton South game this last Friday and I have to agree with the above comments. They just don't get him the ball. When he lined up out by himself West Branch simply double teamed him. They didn't even try to disguise it, there were just two guys there all the time. So Canton...

    Proper cooling of tower

What are your running would be my first question. Many computers can operate with a CPU fan and 1 case fan underneath a desk. But if you've got higher end stuff that gets hotter, then you'll need something better. I personally have not had overheating problems, I've got 2 fans in my power...

    Open source

Open source is an agreement that the "source" of the software is "open" or publicly available. There is actually a lisence you agree to adhere to. Linux happens to be an operating system that falls into the open source category. And yes, that's a pretty comprehensive list of linux...

    Open source

Linux has different versions or distributions. Ubuntu, Suse, Debian, Knoppix, Mandriva, Red Hat, etc. They all have the same core running them, but they have different bells and whistles that you see. Open Source Software.

    Open source

OSS is almost always better. The best aspect IMO is the support. If something needs fixed, it will get fixed fast and well. Ubuntu has made a huge stride for linux being more user friendly. Open office is nice from what I've seen (althought I've only had limited experience with it). Gaim is...

QB Troy Smith (2006 Heisman Trophy Winner)

Not so fast my friend. One could reasonably argue that if he hadn't gotten suspended, he would have never gotten his head on straight. In my opinion, the best thing that happened to Troy Smith's long term development was the suspension. He has made unimaginable gains since that time.

    2006 Heisman Discussion (merged all)

This is true. At any rate, I think it will be an interesting situation to watch and see how it develops--whether it is just planning for the future or something else.

    2006 Heisman Discussion (merged all)

True it does means that he is best for that situation, and that, I believe, is the argument in relation to the Heisman race. If Leake is the QB, but not the best QB on his team in every situation (especially these recent scoring situations), then how can he be a Heisman (best overall player in...

    2006 Heisman Discussion (merged all)

It sounds like Meyer disagrees with you. Would you feel that Smith was the undisputed QB of tOSU if Zwick came in and scored all of the TD's while JT was scripting the next few plays with TS on the sideline? I sure wouldn't.

    MAC vs PC

Yes, then no. Apples were the first "PC's," but after that "PC" became associated with the IBM PC and then windows compatable systems. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_computer
