  1. The Buckeyes' Top Prospects for 2009 - Spring Game Edition

What's wrong with the BPRT? The initial post in this thread is like...3 recruits out of date? :roll1: PLEASE NOTE: my sarcasm font is "broken" which is BP-ese for I forget how to do it...lol :D
  2. RB Jordan Hall (Official Thread)

Amazing. I don't know what else to say right now. I am speechless.
  3. LB Dorian Bell (transfer to Duquesne)

Reload. Relode. Relowd. No matter how it is spelled, Coach Tressel keeps reeling in stud after stud after stud. I love the versatility of a player like Bell - a true Tressel "Big Speed" recruit. Congrats to Dorian and his family!
  4. DE Vernon Gholston (Official Thread)

Take off the "ysts" and that's what Wingo is. Which ESPN analysts said this? Mark Schlereth, Mike Golic and Kiper? Or Mortensen, Kiper, and Jaws? Bottom line, Trey Wingo is an elitist prick and doesn't know a damn thing about football. Checkers, maybe, but not football. This is the same...
  5. scum RB Fitzgerald Toussaint (official thread)

My biggest frustration in recruiting is the uneven playing field. What is an academic pre-requisite at some schools isn't mandated in others. Truly frustrating. Best of luck to him at scUM.

  7. '09 OH ATH Justin Turner (Michigan signee, Hawaii commit)

I don't root for OHIO kids who choose scUM over tOSU either, but Justin Turner is a fine prospect. I don't understand how Justin can commit to tsun when he has everything he could possibly want in a school in his home state and have the chance to play for a man like Jim Tressel. Especially...
  8. QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Outstanding...I am actually outta town for professional reasons... The last time I was out of town, during my absence, JB Shugarts & Michael Brewster committed and I think Nathan Williams followed shortly thereafter. I go out of town again and the #1 player in the country decides to commit...
  9. '09 FL DB Brandon McGee (Miami-FL Verbal)

Duke and USC offers in the same day??? Now that is a DIVERSE offer list.
  10. '09 IL OL Chris Watt (Notre Dame Signee)

What about Chris "1.21 Gigga" Watt(s)? :D (Back to the Future reference for those too young to remember Marty McFly & Doc Brown)... Then again Chris "Killer/Kilo/Mega" Watt sounds less 80s...which is a plus.
  11. '09 OH QB Devontae Payne (Eastern Michigan Signee; Transfer to Findlay)

I agree...the film I saw of Nelson two years ago reminded me of Oscar Davenport (late 90s UNC QB). It is hard to compare what little film I have seen of Payne to date to anyone in particular but he doesn't resemble Nelson in terms of build or playing style.
  12. DE Melvin Fellows (official thread)

I wonder what Fellows sees @ UofI that he doesn't @ OSU? Is it the relationship with Zooker? Is is the fact that UofI is an up and comer? Is it depth? Then again, maybe he just has that "feel" for UofI that he doesn't have for tOSU...
  13. SEC Speed

Agree...I will say it is a different style of football in the South though. The Big Ten was historically more a smashmouth conference and weather conditions have contributed greatly to that (which has been stated ad nauseum) until the evolution of N'Western and Purdue lead some Big Ten schools...
  14. WR Chris Fields (official thread)

James Patrick Tressel... :groove::groove::groove::groove::groove::groove::groove::groove: Fields is a stud. Wow. :gobucks1::gobucks2:
  15. MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

I know a TV GM from Arkansas...who has told me on several occasions that D-Mac enjoys the nightlife of Fayetteville and Little Rock a little too much. He comes from a really rough neighborhood and it is great to see him do well for himself...but he puts himself at risk quite frequently with...
  16. MichaeLLLLLLLLL "0-9" ‘Bike’ Hart (douchebag)

MH aka 0-4 is no Travis Prentiss... :slappy: Truth be told, I don't have a problem with Hart's exclusion from the SI list. I don't think he is a top 10 college back. The guy produced big numbers in college, but quite often, folded in the big games (see 1-7) and with the talented OL Michigan...
  17. OL Jack Mewhort (All-American)

I was hoping during that movie that Eastern would play scUM and pseudo scUM QB Tim Weyman would be face planted into the ground by Lattimer. Alas it never happened. Sorry for continuing the tangent in Mewhort's thread...
  18. Sam "L" McGuffie (Olympic Bobsled Team)

Tsk...tsk...don't start skipping school yet - you aren't even living in Ann Arbor yet!! :D
