The need for an upgrade at MLB was made harshly apparent during yesterday's game. Storm got smoked on the opening pass play (clearly designed to expose his lack of speed) and then he was late getting over to the bubble screen on the third TD. Hate to single him out, but he's clearly not getting...
Comparable size to John Simon but Simon's strength and intensity separate him from the pack and allow him to excel in the trenches. Anyone know anything about Noah's on-the-field abilities? I think that Rivals user rating may be a little skewed.
Primary difference between Tressel and Meyer: kids across the nation are increasingly early targets and, as a result, increasingly early commitments.
Love the commitment. Welcome aboard.
Is there an extreme limit on scholarships next year? If not, I fail to see the reason for banking scholarships for next year if you are in the hunt for talented people this year. I'm definitely not an advocate of handing extra scholarships out to whoever wants them, but if you have the shot to...
I think the gap between rating and collegiate performance is mitigated somewhat by the YouTube phenomenon and the easy accessibility of recruit's highlights. Is it 100% accurate? No and it never will be. Is it easier to do and more accurate with a larger sampling of footage? I would image it...
So let me get this straight...
Early PT is a the major factor and he sees the best chance for PT and WVU and VT yet all schools are even. Betting against OSU on this one.
How likely is it that one or two of the current signees decommit? There are several positions (OL and LB) that Meyer has hit hard and some of the early recruits at those position have to be second-guessing their commitment. I personally would be shopping around if I was facing the possibility...
With the understanding that recruiting rankings are not always entirely accurate, I think this could turn out to be a HUGE coup for OSU since (1) the MLB position seems to be in need of an upgrade and (2) there are currently 0 prospects committed to OSU and ranked in the Rivals Top 40 at the...
Definitely don't see this as a wise decision if true.
1. To my knowledge, Pitt had no increased recruiting buzz following the Penn State debacle. That's even before Graham fled to ASU. The Penn State recruits are abandoning that place in droves it seems, but, unless I missed the news, not one...

Pretty disappointing to see an update in this thread, on such a big day for recruiting, only to learn it's someone asking for an update (which everyone knows will be posted when they are known).
Trust me...if he breaks "Chubby's" heart...someone will tell you.
As early as we are into the Meyer era, I think it's pretty apparent that the focus on recruiting is about to change significantly from the Tressel era. Not that one approach was better or worse, but Tressel and Co. clearly focused on building a team of solid (not necessarily glamorous) athletes...
The way he gets to the LOS and makes plays appears to be more of a safety. I'm pretty sure he has a promising future on STs early in his career. Kid seems to enjoy contact.
Agree 100% with this statement. I just can't see a guy who hasn't played the position at any level for at least 2+ years upgrading the depth or seeing the field regardless of his speed or physical makeup. This is a move that should have been made in the offseason so that he could be coached...
Very odd. I agree the backfield is crowded, but I can't imagine he will see the field at LB either. There is a lot more to playing LB at a top-tier program than running fast and looking the part. I can't imagine him having the cognitive ability at that position since he's been concentrating...
