I didn't see one. I guess we 'aught to start one now, since we'll probably play them every year.
How far is Rutgers from the Jersey Shore and Chris Christie, by the way?
If we our division gets MD and Rutgers, they should change the names to the Blue and Red divisions.
Red would then have at least 5 teams with red as a primary color - OSU, Wiscy, Rutgers, Maryland and Indiana.
Blue would have Illinois, Michigan, Northwestern with blue colors - far less, but...
Given what Nike's founder Phil Knight has done with Oregon, it shouldn't be much of a stretch to think that Kevin Plank wants to do the same with Maryland.
Its a struggling program he can "Buy" on the cheap to represent the Under Armour brand. Better yet, he could probably leverage any...
Expanding east is about the only logical choice at this point in time.
Going west/south isn't going to expand the B1G's footprint significantly, unless you somehow pried Texas away from the Big 12, which looks unlikely. Otherwise, you're talking about teams that really add no new markets...
Here's an out of the box question:
Right now, Braxton is trending towards 2,000 yards passing and 1,400 yards rushing in a total of 12 games.
What do you think he's likely to go for next year? He'll likely have an additional 2 games to add stats to.
Since there are Michigan fans on this thread, let me ask:
How did Denard take such a huge step back this year in passing? He's tied for TDs and INTs this year, and the only quasi-bright spot is his running.
Its really for ND to lose their shot at an NC.
Crazy that there are 4 really, really good undefeated teams right now. If they continue, we really needed the playoff this year.
Honestly, I liked Kenny's passing more than Braxton's.
He doesn't have the arm, but he seems to be willing to wait longer for the play to develop. The TD pass and 2pt conversion were mostly thanks to him waiting for the right guy to open up. By then, Braxton would have been off to the races...
I figure defense shows up, if for no other reason, Purdue sucks.
Offense isn't as razzle-dazzle as we've seen, but enough to win, and win convincingly.
46-21, OSU.
