Uh, true dude, but scarlet IS the same as scarlet, right? ;) Officially, Nebraska's colors are scarlet & cream, while Ohio State's are scarlet and grey, I believe? :)
Yeah, I know - just doesn't work as well against an opponent who's main color is ALSO red, huh? :D
It sure embarrassed the 'Domers though. Based on that game, they changed their ticket rules/policies after that. I think you now have to show photo ID to get in with a student or faculty...
Just finished listening to the live press conference. Retiring effective January 1st, will stay on for an additional 6 months as "AD Emeritus" to assure a smooth transition.
Chancellor Perlman has already "interviewed some candidates", will "likely interview more" before making a decision on...
Agreed! The B1G should make a statement and remove them from all B1G team schedules going forward. I'm repeating a post from a Husker board that I thought made some great points:
No, but I heard a rumor that the SEC has adopted and modified the practice. Their SEC comic books have larger print and smaller words, and are being used in lieu of textbooks for their players' classes. :D
Thanks, jwinslow, appreciate the info. $250 a pair is within my realm of "reasonable." The $375 ea (and up) prices are based on a couple quick checks of online ticket sites within the last week or so.
FWIW, that's about the same kind of prices I saw about this time last year when trying to...
As many of you know, I landed here and became a member after the announcement that Nebraska was joining the B1G. My interest in the Bucks is due to my wife being an alum and former cheerleader (during Woody's days.)
When the news first came out, I told her at the time that it would be great to...
If all the conferences operated equally - in terms of academic admissions criteria, oversigning, multi-year vs single year scholarships etc - I think your argument would be more valid. As it is, the SEC with their much looser standards gives them an unfair advantage over other conferences like...
Well, I guess nobody will complain if I'm late for the spring drive but early for the fall drive? Contribution made - not as much as I'd like, but what the budget says...
Thanks for welcoming a college football lover who happens to be a Husker! :neb::bigten::osu:
Agreed. I used to be a wholesale supporter of the playoff, but have come around to the point of agreeing with your stance completely.
I think a 4 team playoff, with the 4 being the highest ranked conference champions of the (maybe 6?) top tier conferences potentially strikes the best balance.
Rumor has it you'll never see this violation at any SEC school. Any athlete found with a textbook in his possession at an SEC school is suspended from the team for two weeks! :D
I guess that maybe since Nebraska is new to the B1G, and hasn't previously had much focus on B1G country for recruiting, is why I've tended to follow - and believe - Rivals and 247sports a lot more than Scout. I'll even suggest that maybe Scout emphasizes that region a little TOO much. As you...
I'm sure there have been ridiculous rankings from all the services that can be pointed to. After all, this is not a very exact "science" at all.
So, honest curiosity - which service do you think "gets it right" if any of them do? I'm curious if you think Scout is superior, because that would...
